Geoff’s passion for representing injury victims stems from his own experience. Geoff’s mother was killed in a motor vehicle crash caused by a drunk driver in 2008 when Geoff was just twenty years old.

Prior to founding The Jones Firm, Geoff worked for The Law Offices of Kevin Kurgis.

In 2019, Geoff founded The Jones Firm, LLC to bring compassion, relentless advocacy, and client-centered services to personal injury victims.

Geoff represents those who have been killed or seriously injured in motor vehicle collisions. He also represents individuals who have sustained injuries as a result of negligence in premises liability cases and dog bite cases.

Geoff’s professional goals are to build a successful practice, and to become an experienced trial lawyer.

Geoff graduated with his juris doctor (JD) degree from The Ohio State University, Moritz School of Law in 2012 where he was an editor of the Ohio State Journal on Dispute Resolution. In law school, he externed for Judge Hoffman on the Bankruptcy Court and studied abroad at St. Anne’s College in Oxford, England, UK.

Prior to law school, Geoff graduated from Humboldt State University (now Cal Poly Humboldt) in Arcata, California in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology.  He attended Olentangy High School in Powell, Ohio.

Geoff is a first-year board member of the Central Ohio Association for Justice (COAJ). He is also a member of the Ohio Association for Justice (OAJ), American Association for Justice (AAJ), Columbus Bar Association (CBA), and Ohio Bar Association.

He has been involved with rotary and various chambers of commerce locally in the Central Ohio area. He also supports local charities and non-profit organizations.

Geoff enjoys reading fiction, crossfit, running, yoga, kickball, curling, and outdoor activities of all kinds including hiking. He also enjoys traveling and supporting Columbus’ many local restaurants and breweries. Whenever possible, he attends Columbus Bluejackets, Columbus Crew, and OSU football games. But his biggest focus outside of work is spending time with his family. He lives in the Clintonville/Beechwold neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio with his wife and son and two black labs.
